Another New York-based retailer has made its way to Dallas. Steven Alan, a retailer known for its curated selection of emerging and established designers in addition to its own in-house Steven Alan brand, launched its first store in Texas today in the Knox-Henderson district along the super-hot Knox Street corridor (see here and here for other recent big-name retailers).
We had a quick conversation with Jonas Joiner, General Manager of Steven Alan’s Knox Street store, who shared his excitement revolving around the store’s success during today’s launch day (and also mentioned impressive sales figures). “We’re really excited to be a part of the Knox-Henderson neighborhood and have had a great response so far. A lot of visitors today already knew about the Steven Alan brand and have been excited for the store to launch, ” Joiner remarked. He also added that Steven Alan stores only open in neighborhoods, which is why Knox-Henderson was the perfect fit.
“Opening in Dallas is very exciting as we have had shops on both coasts and Texas presents a great opportunity to launch Steven Alan in the southwest. We have been getting requests for quite a while now to open there.” – Steven Alan
The Steven Alan Dallas store is a 1,875 square feet space, which opens in a 1930s building with concrete floors encased with brick walls. In addition to the Steven Alan brand, the store also carries men’s and women’s lines such as the following: ACNE, Alasdair, Clare Vivier, Engineered Garments, Filson, Lad, Lauren Moffatt, Laurence Dolige, Mansur Gavriel, No.6, RRL, Sea, Sessun and Shinola. The store will also feature an assortment of home and lifestyle items from Colin Adrian Glass, Coyuchi, Frau Tonis, Hedley & Bennet, Small Spells, Tay and local women’s and lifestyle vendors.
